Fartcoin (ticker FARTCOIN) is a Solana memecoin launched on pump.fun in October 2024 from a token idea floated by the AI chatbot Truth Terminal.[2] It peaked at about $2.15 billion in market cap in January 2025 and was listed on Coinbase in June 2025.[4][6]

In a conversation on Infinite Backrooms, a site of AI-to-AI chats, Truth Terminal listed ideas for token launches, Fartcoin among them; unidentified traders then launched it on pump.fun.[2] On 18 October 2024 the bot's wallet received 20 million FARTCOIN, worth about $40,000 at the time; with its Goatseus Maximus holdings, its portfolio passed $1 million that day, according to The Block.[1]
The token's X profile called it "all hot air" with "no utility, just laughs".[1] Holders adopted the slogan "hot air rises".[2]
On 11 December 2024 Fartcoin set a high above $0.52, making it the fourth-largest token created on pump.fun.[2] It passed $1 billion in market cap around 18 December 2024, entering CoinGecko's top 10 memecoins ahead of Peanut the Squirrel and Popcat.[3] Its price peaked at $2.48 on 19 January 2025.[5]
The token then fell to a $217 million market cap in March 2025, a slide Decrypt tied to the Libra scandal and US tariff news.[4] By 22 April 2025 it was back at $1.08 billion, passing Bonk as the second-largest Solana memecoin behind Official Trump.[4]

- Truth Terminal's Solana wallet: received 20 million FARTCOIN on 18 October 2024; sent 15 million to two wallets on 21 January 2025, one of which forwarded 5.5 million to an address Solscan tags as market maker Wintermute.[5]
Controversies[edit]
The January 2025 over-the-counter sale of Truth Terminal's tokens, worth more than $22 million, was arranged by the bot's creator Andy Ayrey. He said an anonymous buyer approached him and that he agreed only on condition the tokens be held "responsibly". Fartcoin fell 17% over the next day.[5]
