Sahil Arora is a crypto promoter who launched or arranged a series of celebrity memecoins in 2024, including tokens tied to Caitlyn Jenner and Jason Derulo. Several of the celebrities involved later criticised him publicly.[1][2] He has denied that his launches are scams.[1]

Background[edit]

Cointelegraph reported that Arora founded the payments firm ZelaaPayAE and the influencer platform Habibi.[1] His X account was banned on 2024-07-04; he is believed to run several others.[3]

Style[edit]

Arora presents celebrity disputes as staged marketing: he told Decrypt the Derulo episode was "part of the script".[4] He has said he started the celebrity memecoin trend to bring crypto into the mainstream.[2] In October 2026 he said he would "recreate everything on Fomo that we made on Pump.fun in 2024".[5]

Notable trades[edit]

Caitlyn Jenner

  • 2024-05-27: Jenner launched a token on pump.fun that passed a $40 million market cap and lost about half of its peak by the next morning.[1]
  • A contract Arora shared with Decrypt promised Jenner $50,000 upfront and 80% of the revenue generated. Jenner later said he went "radio silent after showing a couple of wire transfers" and still owed her money; she wrote "He SCAMMED us".[2]

IGGY presale

In May 2024 Arora ran a presale for a token named after rapper Iggy Azalea that raised over $300,000. Azalea distanced herself, saying she wanted a "legit coin with utility", and launched MOTHER separately.[1] Arora said buyers who lost money "couldn't time right entries".[1]

Jason Derulo

In June 2024 Derulo posted the contract address of JASON, a pump.fun coin, then publicly criticised Arora within hours. Arora told Decrypt he "orchestrated" the episode and that Derulo held part of the supply.[4]

Rich the Kid and Lil Pump

Rapper Rich the Kid accused Arora of hacking his X account to promote the RICH token.[1] Lil Pump deleted a promotional post and blamed a social media manager who had reportedly been offered $39,000 by Arora.[4]

BROCCOLI

  • 2025-02: Arora launched BROCCOLI, named after Changpeng Zhao's dog, from the deployer wallet used for Jenner's token. On thin liquidity it reached a reported $9.57 billion market cap within two hours before falling to about $96,000, which Bubblemaps called a large-scale rug pull.[6]
  • Arora told Decrypt he made about $6.5 million and, asked whether it was his most successful scam, said "yes". Bubblemaps said the two main price drops came from about $3.3 million of sales and that he may be exaggerating. Jenner said the token had nothing to do with her.[6]

Floyd Mayweather

In October 2026 Mayweather's accounts briefly promoted a coin Arora launched on the Fomo platform. It peaked near a $1 million market cap and fell 96% in about three hours. Arora claimed seven-figure profits; Bubblemaps said the largest connected wallet cluster made about $105,000. Mayweather did not respond to Decrypt.[5]

Controversies[edit]

  • Bubblemaps estimated that Arora made about $30 million from 2024 celebrity launches.[2] ZachXBT disputed this, writing "there is no way Sahil made $26M". He estimated about $3 million and said Bubblemaps had counted a Poloniex exchange wallet as Arora's.[3]
  • Cointelegraph reported accusations that he was behind an alleged rug pull tied to former NBA player Dwight Howard.[1]
  • No regulator action or lawsuit naming Arora was found in the sources reviewed.
