Lore[edit]

Melania Trump posted the contract address on Truth Social and X; the token reached a $5.69 billion fully diluted value on DEX Screener within hours.[1] Disclosed allocation: 45% community, public distribution and liquidity, 20% treasury and 35% team, vesting monthly over 13 months after a 30-day cliff.[1] Financial disclosures showed it was launched by MKT World LLC, a company Melania Trump set up for speaking fees and NFT sales.[1] Its launch coincided with TRUMP falling as much as 48%.[1]

MELANIA peaked near a $7 billion market cap and fell about 99%, to roughly $80 million, within months.[2] Hayden Davis of Kelsier Ventures described himself as a launch strategist for MELANIA.[3]

Timeline[edit]

  • 2025-01-19: launch[1]
  • 2025-02: Bubblemaps links MELANIA and Libra to the same team[2]
  • 2025-04-07: Bubblemaps reports about $30 million of community tokens moved and partly sold[4]
  • 2025-10-23: two "Official Melania Meme" wallets receive about $1.23 million in Meteora's MET airdrop[2]
  • 2025-10: amended class action names MELANIA among five tokens[5]

Key wallets[edit]

Two wallets labelled "Official Melania Meme" on Arkham, melania-liquidity1.sol and melania-liquidity2.sol, received $784,200 and $454,724 of MET on 2025-10-23 and moved the funds on.[2]

Controversies[edit]

At launch Bubblemaps said nearly 90% of supply sat in one wallet, inconsistent with the stated distribution.[6] In April 2025 it reported about 50 million tokens (about $30 million) moved out of community allocations, with team wallets controlling 92% of supply; the team did not explain the movements at the time.[4]

According to Bubblemaps, a sniper wallet took more than $2.4 million from the MELANIA launch and routed profits to an address that later funded the LIBRA creator wallet.[7] Hurlock v. Kelsier Ventures, a class action in New York, alleges Meteora co-founder Benjamin Chow, Kelsier Ventures and the Davis family ran a scheme across at least 15 tokens including MELANIA; it describes Melania Trump and Javier Milei as "window dressing", not defendants.[5] Chow, who resigned from Meteora in February 2025, has denied receiving LIBRA tokens or having insider information.[5] These are allegations.
