Fwog (ticker FWOG) is a frog-themed Solana memecoin launched on pump.fun on 30 July 2024 as a relaunch of the artwork behind the failed Flog the Frog (FLOG) token.[1]
Lore[edit]
FLOG, a pump.fun coin, peaked above $15 million in market cap and then collapsed. Decrypt reported that its developer, "Pyro", sold the core team's entire holdings after a miscommunication with project manager "Breezy", dropping the market cap about 91% in a minute.[1] Two pseudonymous traders said they had been paid 3 million FLOG to promote it.[1] FLOG's artist, Titto (Groowut), said he had worked unpaid.[1]
Traders Anon and Deecayz, with influencer organiser Chernggg, launched FWOG using Titto's art, and Cole Thereum, a former Pudgy Penguins chief executive, promoted it. FWOG reached about $25 million in market cap six hours after launch.[1]
In September 2024 it was among the four largest pump.fun tokens, briefly overtaken by Moo Deng.[2] On 24 October 2024 it was the largest pump.fun token after Goatseus Maximus, at $224 million.[3]
