Bubblemaps
Bubblemaps is a blockchain analytics firm whose tool draws a token's holders as bubbles sized by their share of supply, with links and shared colours marking wallets it believes are controlled by one entity.[1] Its founder and chief executive is Nicolas Vaiman.[2] Its investigations into insider wallet clusters are widely cited in memecoin reporting.
How it works[edit]
Each large holder appears as a bubble; lines join wallets Bubblemaps has linked by behaviour, and wallets likely under the same control share a colour.[1] A widely distributed token looks like a scattered "galaxy", a concentrated one like a tight cluster around one wallet.[1] The tool can show past distributions and has a bundle checker that reads launch-block buys for Bundling; Bubblemaps' guide treats a single cluster above 30% of supply as high risk and more than 30% bundled supply at launch as a reason to avoid a token.[1]
History[edit]
The Block dates the platform to 2022 and reported in September 2025 that it claimed about 300,000 monthly active users.[2] Bubblemaps launched its BMT token on Solana and BNB Chain on 11 March 2025 with a supply of 1 billion, about 27% circulating.[3] On 23 September 2025 it launched Intel Desk, which pays BMT to users who flag scams and suspicious launches, with about 30 million tokens set aside for quarterly airdrops in the first year.[2]
Notable investigations[edit]
- Daddy Tate (June 2024): Bubblemaps said insiders bought about 30% of DADDY's supply before Andrew Tate promoted it, including 11 Binance-funded wallets holding about 20%; Tate denied wrongdoing.[4]
- Official Trump (January 2025): it reported a wallet funded with $1 million four hours before launch that bought $5.9 million of TRUMP in the first minute.[5]
- Melania Meme and Libra (February 2025): it said it was "highly confident" one entity ran both launches, tracing a wallet that made over $2.4 million sniping MELANIA through an Avalanche address to LIBRA's main creator wallet.[6]
- YZY (August 2025): it alleged that 14 wallets linked to Hayden Davis of Kelsier Ventures bought Kanye West's YZY a minute after its announcement and made $12 million, while saying it could not confirm insider knowledge.[7]
- Pepe (December 2025): it alleged a single cluster held about 30% of PEPE's supply at its April 2023 launch and sold about $2 million the next day, contrary to the project's stealth-launch claims.[8]
Criticism[edit]
At BMT's launch a cluster tied to the deployer wallet held nearly 94% of the Solana supply, prompting critics to note that Bubblemaps had faulted other projects for concentration; the firm said the deployer held 86% pending transfer to a vesting wallet and that disclosure distinguished its case.[3]
