Wen (ticker WEN) is a Solana memecoin created from a poem by Meow, the pseudonymous founder of the Jupiter exchange, and airdropped to over a million wallets in January 2024.[1][2]

Meow wrote "A Love Letter to Wen Bros", a poem about the "wen token?" questions crypto teams receive, and minted it as an NFT using a new token standard, the Wen New Standard (WNS).[1] The NFT was fractionalised into 1 trillion WEN, and 70% of the supply was split equally across more than a million eligible wallets.[1]
Eligible wallets included active Jupiter users from the previous six months, Solana Saga phone owners and holders of Ovols and other NFT collections; each could claim 643,652 WEN.[1][2] WEN was the first token on Jupiter's launchpad and a test run for Jupiter's own JUP airdrop on 2024-01-31.[1]
The price rose about 483% on launch day.[2] When the three-day claim closed, about 41% of the airdrop was still unclaimed; unclaimed tokens were burned.[3][4]
