Lore[edit]
On 14 February 2025 Milei posted about LIBRA on X, presenting it as a way to fund small Argentine businesses. The token ran to a market cap of several billion dollars and then fell by more than 80% within hours, as wallets linked to its creators sold and pulled liquidity. Milei deleted the post.
The launch was organised with Hayden Davis of Kelsier Ventures, who later said in interviews that he held the proceeds. The episode was widely described as a rug pull.

Controversies[edit]
Investors filed lawsuits, and the affair prompted calls in Argentina's congress to impeach Milei along with a judicial investigation.
